Bill Renton
President
Bill founded Yummy Tummy in 2006 after moving to North Carolina. He wrestled for the University of Pittsburgh and studied mining engineering, working for numerous coal companies, including Consolidation Coal Company and United States Steel Corporation. He was hired as President of a coal company at the age of 27 and became a part owner of a start-up mining company three years later, eventually becoming the 7th largest coal producer in Pennsylvania. He has started numerous business pursuits including real estate, trucking, residential housing, and hotel development. Bill was formerly Chairman of the Nestle Toll House Café by Chip Franchise Advisory Board and President of the Planet Smoothie Franchise Advisory Board. He has served as a member of the Auntie Anne’s Franchise Council since 2008 and is currently a member of the Haagen-Dazs Franchise Advisory Board. Bill and his wife Cindy reside in Mooresville, NC and enjoy hiking and spending time with their 7 children and 4 grandchildren.
Cindy Renton
Brand Training
Cindy Renton was born in Rochester, New York and began her career in the food & service industry right out of college by becoming a training manager at Friendly's Ice Cream Corporation. She traveled around the country training managers at newly-opened stores. Years later, she picked up right from where she left off by becoming the Yummy Tummy Group's brand trainer. Cindy's responsibilities include training new employees, managers, and auditing stores to ensure the store operations and products are up to the Yummy Tummy Group's exceptional standards. In her free time, Cindy enjoys gardening, smocking, and spending time with her loving husband, 7 children, and 4 grandchildren.
Mo Rafiq
Vice President of Operations
Mo is a principal of the Yummy Tummy Group and is responsible for Development and Operations. Mo has served on the franchise advisory boards of Nestle Toll House Café by Chip and Haagen-Dazs, and currently sits on the Planet Smoothie Franchise Advisory Board. Mo was born in Pakistan and grew up in England, and has had a varied career; he has worked in farming, fashion, hospitality and, for the past 20 years, quick service snack concepts. Mo and Bill became partners in 2007. Mo’s wife, Alia, serves as controller for the company, handling financial and administrative matters. Mo and Alia live in Charlotte, NC with their 2 daughters, Amani and Layyah.
Siera Leigh Barksdale
Executive Assistant
Siera L. Barksdale was born in Spartanburg, SC as the youngest of five daughters to two loving parents. She attended college at Spartanburg Methodist College and the College of Charleston. During her time in college, she participated in and lead many club organizations while transitioning into the field of administrative work in the nonprofit sector. She became an Administrative Assistant, Human Resources Assistant, and then Program Director for the Teen Achievers program at the Cannon Street YMCA while studying to complete two Bachelors programs. Upon graduating from college with degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and African American Studies, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2015. Siera started with the company as a crew member at the Charlotte Premium Outlets Auntie Anne's & Planet Smoothie shop in August 2015 just after graduating from college. With prior experience as an Administrative Assistant for the previous 5 years, she began to utilize her skills as the Administrative Assistant for the Yummy Tummy Group in December 2015.
Zack Renton
IT Operations
Zack Renton was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania in 1997. After graduating from South Iredell High School he chose to continue his studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently, Zack is an undergraduate student at the UNC Chapel Hill. He studies Economics, Biology, and Statistics and Analytics. When it comes to Yummy Tummy Zack has worked as a shift manager since 2014 primarily at Charlotte Premium Outlets and Streets at Southpoint whenever he is available. Additionally, Zack created and maintains the Yummy Tummy Group's website. In his free time, Zack enjoys playing soccer, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
Maigao Vang
Administrative Assistant
Maigao Vang was born in Fresno, California in 1995. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2017. During her time at UNC Greensboro, she achieved a membership in Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honors Society and was the Leader of the International Students Association. She spent two years working as a professional Office Assistant for UNC Greensboro. Upon graduation, Maigao’s background and experience opened the opportunity for her to currently work as the Administrative Assistant for Yummy Tummy Group in 2018.
