Our Name

How did we get the name Yummy Tummy? Sounds pretty peculiar doesn't it? Well here's the story: Once upon a time (13 years ago) in a land far, far away (Johnstown, Pa), there lived a little prince named Zachary. Zachary was the youngest child in a family of two princesses and five princes. Their kingdom was known tar and wide for its coal mining and abundant snowfall. After many years of residing in this kingdom, the prince’s parents decided to move to a kingdom in a far away land. The little prince was so saddened by this news because he didn’t want to leave everything dear to his heart. In order to shine joy and happiness upon the the little prince and the forthcoming relocation, his parents suggested that he should have the honor of naming the new kingdom in the far away land of North Carolina. This special privilege did elate the prince and he eagerly accepted this challenge. The prince’s first suggestion was Confections for Your Midsections. Although this was a valiant first effort, it was deemed that this name would be too lengthy to be a good name for a kingdom. After some more contemplation, the little prince thought up the name Yummy Tummy. Such a perfect name indeed for the new kingdom that would become famous for its’ yummy pretzels, delicious cookies, creamy ice cream, deliciously healthy smoothies, sweet yogurt, and irresistible Cinnabons. And still today, the kingdom stands strong and most importantly, remains Yummy Tummy.

Our Story

The Yummy Tummy Group operates quick service, dessert style restaurants in the states of North Carolina (Yummy Tummy, LLC), South Carolina (Yummy Tummy Two, LLC) and Georgia (Yummy Tummy GA, LLC). We represent six brands: Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Nestle Toll House Café by Chip, Haagen-Dazs Shoppes, Frozia Frozen Yogurt, Planet Smoothie, and Cinnabon, which are primarily situated in mallvenues. The YTG currently operates a total of 22 franchised concepts in 10 malls/outlets. About half of our stores are co-branded and/ordual concept locations, and we operate 2 or more stores in 5 of our malls. In 2017 we formed a new company in partnership with the King family called SE Co-brand Ventures, LLC, and we’ve added 12 more stores in 6 additional locations. (look under "Partnerships" for more information). We intend to continue our strategy to wisely grow our presence within our footprint and by sticking close to our motto: do things right; do the right thing.
